She has also covered local events, red carpet events, and written features about celebrities. Not to mention her expertise in press freedom in Central America.

Shahrazad also fact-checks for an online daily in Costa Rica, teaches in the department of Central American and Transborder Studies at CSU Northridge, ghost writes, consults and does social media for other news organizations and non-profit organizations.
